AYS Tents & Events

AYS Tents & Events is a full service event rental company in Mattituck, on the North Fork. It says it serves the Hamptons, the North Fork and all of Long Island.

How they work

Tents come in sailcloth, pole, Navi Trac, structure and frame styles, with tent accessories. The company also rents dance floors, staging, bars, chairs, tables, flooring, lighting, decor and audio, tabletop, catering equipment, furniture and linen, so one order can cover a whole tented reception. Pricing starts with a wishlist on the website that becomes a quote request. Work shown on its site includes a June wedding at Gurney’s in Montauk with drapery, custom lighting and a wrapped dance floor, an August wedding on Shelter Island, and a wedding at Peconic Bay Yacht Club that the site says was featured by Style Me Pretty. There are separate galleries for weddings, ceremonies and lighting.

Who it suits

Couples marrying on the North Fork, on Shelter Island or in Montauk who want the tent, lighting, furniture and tableware from one company based on the East End. It also suits couples who need extras like a bar or staging without booking a second rental firm. It is less suited to couples who want to see prices online, as none are published.
