Faraway Sag Harbor

Faraway Sag Harbor is a harborfront hotel on West Water Street in Sag Harbor. It is the former Baron’s Cove, renovated and reopened under the Faraway Hotels name in 2026 with 67 rooms (Hospitality Net).

How they work

Rooms include village and harbor facing kings, double queen and double full rooms, garden rooms with an accessible option, harbor king lofts, a harbor king suite and a two bedroom suite with a loft that sleeps up to five. The hotel has a pool with cabanas, a gym, a padel court, free bikes, the Zagara restaurant, a lobby bar and a private dining room. Its group page lists wedding weekends among the events it hosts, alongside private dinners and milestone celebrations, and describes group stays across harbor facing rooms, lofts and multi bedroom suites. The hotel’s FAQ says room blocks and large group stays are requested through its Group & Event Inquiry page, and its sales team replies.

Who it suits

Guests at a Sag Harbor or Shelter Island wedding who want to walk into the village, and friends or families sharing a loft or suite. Couples can also look at it for a welcome dinner in the private dining room. It is less suited to guests at North Fork weddings, or anyone who wants a secluded stay away from a busy village.
