Sound View Greenport

Sound View Greenport is a waterfront hotel on County Road 48 in Greenport, on the North Fork, set on Long Island Sound with its own private beach. It works both as a place for wedding guests to stay and as a wedding venue.

How they work

Rooms run from a 150 square foot Standard Queen with no water view to beach facing Deluxe Rooms, Studio King and Junior Suites, and one and two bedroom suites of up to 1,100 square feet with kitchens and private decks. There are also a Hot Tub Suite, a Sauna Suite and an accessible Deluxe Room. The site does not give a total room count. For weddings, the hotel offers exclusive wedding block rates for guests. On site, The Halyard restaurant seats up to 130 with a dance floor or 200 for a cocktail reception, ceremonies can be held on the beach or in the garden, and the Library suits smaller gatherings. The in house kitchen handles rehearsal dinners, welcome parties and a morning after brunch. Group and wedding inquiries go through a proposal form on the site.

Who it suits

Guests at a North Fork wedding who want a room on the water with a beach and pool, and families who need a suite with a kitchen. It also suits couples who want to host the whole weekend in one place. It is less suited to guests at South Fork weddings, which are a ferry ride or a long drive away.
