How they work
The shop is open by appointment only. Each appointment lasts 1.5 hours, and you and your guests have the whole store to yourselves. There is seating for 6 guests. A $60 fee is paid at booking and applied to the gown, and a no show costs $150. Designers listed on the site are KYHA, Grace Loves Lace, Flora, Bo & Luca, Rime Arodaky and Retrofete, and the shop runs trunk shows, including Flora from November 20 to 22. Gowns range from $2,500 to $6,600. Standard production is 4 to 6 months, with rush orders available for a fee. A 70% payment is due at purchase. Alterations are not done in house, but the shop refers you to local seamstresses.
Who it suits
Couples who like modern, relaxed or boho gowns and want to shop near where they will marry, without a trip into the city. The private appointment suits a small group. It is not for couples who want hundreds of gowns to compare in one visit, a ballgown heavy selection, or alterations under the same roof.

- Start shopping 9 to 12 months out, the shop suggests. All sales are final.
- Gowns are stored free for 14 days after arrival, then $25 a month.
- The Southampton LIRR stop is about 1 mile away and the Hampton Jitney stop about 1.6 miles. Street parking on Hill Street is limited to 2 hours.
