Kate Edmonds Events is a New York City planning firm with a separate site for its East End weddings. Kate Edmonds has produced weddings and private events since 1993, and the firm says some of its team members live locally.

How they work

The firm calls itself a wedding planning, event production and design company. Its Hamptons site lists four services: an hourly consultation, day-of or month-of coordination, event design, and full planning with full design. The approach starts from the couple’s own ideas and builds the plan out from there. Settings named on the site run from beaches, vineyards, bays and yachts to old manor houses and private clubs, across Southampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Wainscott, East Hampton, Montauk, Shelter Island and the North Fork. The first consultation is free.

Who it suits

Couples living in the city who want a planner they can meet in Manhattan and who will travel out for the wedding. The range of services also suits couples who have done most of the planning themselves and only want a coordinator for the final month. It is less suited to couples who want a planner with an office on the East End.
