Lily Pad Acres

A North Fork flower farm in Cutchogue that grows its own cut flowers for weddings, with a DIY package for micro weddings.

Lily Pad Acres is a family flower farm on the North Fork that grows its own cut flowers and designs wedding florals from them. Jenny is the head floral designer and the family runs the farm. Zola places it in Cutchogue and gives 2018 as its founding year.

How they work

The farm grows over 250 species of plants for cutting, using organic methods, and buys rarer flowers from local and worldwide specialty growers. Bespoke weddings start with a short consultation and a vision board, followed by a quote. Zola lists bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony decor, installations and flower crowns, with setup, breakdown and moving ceremony flowers to the reception. Couples on a tighter budget can choose a DIY package of flowers to arrange themselves. Spent stems are composted on the farm (Zola).

Who it suits

Couples marrying on the North Fork who want seasonal, wildflower style florals grown close to the venue. The DIY package suits micro weddings and couples happy to do some arranging. It is less suited to winter weddings, when flowers come from wholesale markets, or to couples who want a published price list for full service.
