Lisa Nicolosi Photography is a one person wedding studio based in Babylon, on Long Island’s South Shore, west of the East End. Lisa Nicolosi says she typically photographs weddings on the East End, and lists more than 20 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in fine art.

How they work

She calls her approach artistic storytelling: unobtrusive candid coverage balanced with natural, guided portraits and the small details of the day. She describes her style as natural, romantic and colorful, and hand edits every gallery with clean, rich color rather than an overexposed, faded look. She works with both natural and artificial light, which matters for evening receptions and grey days. Lisa photographs the wedding, edits the images, designs the album and answers calls and emails herself, and she takes a limited number of weddings each year. Proposals, engagement sessions, micro weddings and elopements are also offered.

Who it suits

Couples marrying at a North Fork vineyard, farm or inn, or at a hotel in Montauk or on Shelter Island, who want bright, true color photos and one person to deal with throughout. It is less suited to couples who want a dark, moody edit or a larger team.
