The Hampton Maid is an inn on East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, on rolling ground above Shinnecock Bay. It has welcomed guests since 1959.
How they work
Standard rooms are singles and doubles with their own furnishings and outdoor space. Junior Suites are newer LEED certified studios with an outdoor fireplace, heated floors and one king or two queen beds. Suites add a separate living room, an indoor and outdoor fireplace and a rain shower. Suites make up nearly a quarter of the rooms. The site does not give a total room count. Guests have a pool from May to October, breakfast, the R.AIRE restaurant and a hotel bar. Weekend stays need 2 nights, and holiday weekends 3. The inn also hosts small weddings, elopements, bridal brunches and private celebrations as an all inclusive venue, with a limited number of events each year. The site does not mention room blocks.
Who it suits
Guests at a Hampton Bays, Westhampton or Southampton wedding who want a bayside inn with a pool. It also suits couples planning a small wedding or elopement who want guests, the ceremony and dinner in one place. It is not for large weddings, and guests at Montauk or North Fork weddings face a long drive.
