Southampton Inn is a 90-room hotel on Hill Street, close to Southampton Village and Coopers Beach. It can host the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and farewell brunch on the same property where guests sleep.
The setting
The largest space is the South Lawn, which seats 300 or holds 400 for cocktails, tented or open air. The North Lawn seats 100. Indoors, the Southampton Ballroom seats 140 to 200 and holds 200 for a cocktail hour. Smaller rooms, a library, a courtyard and the pool patio can take a cocktail hour, a rehearsal dinner or a brunch. The inn describes the indoor rooms as its plan for rainy days.
Who it suits
Couples who want a weekend in one place, close to Southampton Village and Coopers Beach. It is not for couples looking for a private estate feel, or for anyone who wants to bring in their own caterer.
Good to know
- Food and drink are handled by the inn only. Outside caterers are not allowed, and a $200 bartender fee applies to consumption bars (Wedding Spot).
- Wedding Spot lists indoor capacity as 130, while the inn’s own event spaces page gives the ballroom 140 to 200 seated. Confirm the number for your layout with the inn.
